Beautiful places in Greece

Hello everyone!

Here I am again to tell you something more about the most beautiful places we visited while we were in Greece. We are now on our way to Italy so it's ideal to inform you about Greece.
I had never been to Greece although it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. Normally, we visit the most popular buildings but this time we were not that excited about the mainland. The island offered us much more eye-candy and I love to share it with you, guys.

We arrived late on Wednesday so we decided to keep calm. We visited Santorini. This took us two hours with the boat because Santorini is 200 kilometres away of the mainland. This island is popular for the amazing views and the fantastic sunsets you get to see. I must admit that I saw the most beautiful sunset here! We did not visit Fira, the capital of Santorini, because it was that late.

When we waked up the day after, we were excited about the places we were about to visit later that day. Firstly, we visited the Temple of Poseidon. After, we went to Confu. I am not going to explain this because you certainly read this in the blogpost of Debra.
Later that day, we went to the Samaria Gorge. This is one of the main sights of Crete because it is the longest gorge in Europe with a length of 18 kilometres. We were a little bit afraid to get lost before welistened to the guide but he told that it was impossible to get lost as we were always moving in a stream of people. Furthermore, there are drinking water springs and toilets at various points.
Our trip started at Xyloskalo on the Omalos Plateau. We experienced a lot of plants and animals. The wild goats of Crete, for example, live here. Debra was really scared when she saw these but we calmed her down.
The rule is not to remove any plant because the people want to protect the delicate ecosystem of Samaria. Without this ecosystem, there would not be that much visitors.
After 6 hours, we arrived at the south coast of Crete. Some people arrived after 4 hours but they did not stop to take pictures and they did not enjoy the beautiful landscape. On top of that, we did the entire trip because some took the “lazy way” as the tour agents call it.

The last day I, Debra and Liesbeth visited Acroplos. Unfortunately, Célestine was ill so she did not make it to come with us…
The Acropolis is an ancient citadel located in Athens. This citadel offers several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance. We visited the Parthenon which is the most famous tourist attraction of Greece. It is a temple with a classical architectural style. Its size is about 70 by 31 metres.
When you are in Greece, you have to visit this building. Not only for the thousands of tourist round the Parthenon but also for the building itself.

To end our beautiful trip, we went to the Mykonos Island. But I am sure that you all read this in the blogpost of Debra earlier this day.

I loved this country soI will return to Greece very soon.
Thank you all for reading my blogpost. Keep on following because we are on our way to my favourite country: Italy!
